Resort Guide: USA

Aspen

Aspen is made up of four amazing mountains: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.

With heavy investment, Aspen offers one of the smoothest skiing/riding experiences in North America. Including high-speed lifts that can get you to the top of the mountain in under 7 minutes.

The four peaks offer endless excitement and adventure for all abilities, from beginners on Buttermilk or an expert on Aspen Mountain. The park rats of the group will be pushing for this location as they will never be bored exploring Aspen’s 5 terrain parks.

Breckenridge

Breckenridge stands super high at 2926 meters. Making it substantially higher than your average European resort.  Breckenridge is home to one of the best ski schools with a well-desevred reputation. Once you’ve built your confidence head to Peak 9 and the base of Peak 8 to start progressing. The intermediates of the group will love the tree-lined runs and bowls through the amazing scenery on Peak 7. To push it a little faster head for the steeper, groomed runs on Peaks 8 and 10. Experts won’t be bored either and can hit up Peak 8 with its Horseshoe Bowl to seek out the mogul fields and 400 acres of sweet sweet powder.

Jackson Hole

If you want snow – 11.6m every year to be precise, then Jackson Hole is almost certain to deliver. This is the perfect spot for experts and confident intermediates.

For a more relaxed and generally quieter spot, beginners can head to the base of the mountain. Where you will find the Solitude Station. Here you’ll find lessons for all (7+).

To be honest the expert riders will have the run of the place. Exploring steep and deep chutes, couloirs, bowls, and glades, Jackson Hole will blow your mind. Don’t forget to visit is the small resort of Grand Targhee, which is arguably the powder capital of the USA. Snowboarders do not fear there is also a superpipe on the mountain, so you will have that Double Cork nailed in no time, right?

Vail

If you are looking for the all-rounder, well look no further than Vail. Arguably the top ski resort in America and recognized as one of the best ski destinations globally. Vail is home to the largest single ski mountain in America. With a wide choice of excellent tree-lined runs and heaps, back bowls. You really do have an unparalleled choice of superb skiing for all skier levels.

Beginners can enjoy short lifts to some of the best nursery slopes. The intermediates of the group will love the wide-open pistes. Advanced skiers will enjoy the expert terrain and can test the knees on the steep mogul challenges.
